I was raised on Hillbilly music. In those days it was called Country and Western and you might get a cowboy song as often as you got a tear in y'beer song. My parents listened to the Grand Ol' Opry on the radio every Saturday night and folks like the Carter family, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams - SENIOR! fuck them other wannabees with that name - Marty Robbins, Johnny Horton, Ernie Ford, and so on and so on; and I listened right alongside. I loved that shit. The songs were about real people. Their problems losses and victories.Real life. Be Careful Of Stones That You Throw and I Dreamed About Mama Last Night still tug at my heart strings and render me misty eyed. There'll never be another song like Lefty's The Long Black Veil. How REAL do you want it?
Yeah those songs were real alright and they had seemed to have a common theme about the common man. About the struggles in life and how we should all be helping and supporting each other. Helping the regular folks who needed it and comforting each other in times of woe. Now it's about being a badass with an AR and Rolling Coal on an EV while driving your little dick truck.
Now, I ain't gonna wash all the dogs 'cause SOME of 'em's got fleas but Country Music has gone downhill since they quit with the WESTERN half and instituted the RED NECK LOSER half. The Red Neck Loser Half took over when you CANCELLED the Dixie Chicks - that's right, motherfuckers ya'll been cancelling people you don't agree with or LIKE forEVER then get all butthurt when it happens to some low brow knuckledragging dumbass - like THIS piece of shit Jason Aldean.
From putting on BlackFace to wearing a confederate battle flag on stage to celebrating the hanging folks at the Maury County Courthouse and threats of violence IF ... you come to his small town. FUCK JASON ALDEAN and YOU TOO if you're in that CULT like the rest of them and don't get it!
