Way cool, 'Fly! Joe and co. could blow the roof off small venues - which in '71 most still were. I saw 'em at a club in Columbia, SC called the Copper Door and couldn't hear anything except that shrill - eeeeeeeeeeee - for two or three days. $2 cover charge and didn't need I.D.. uh. I saw The Bob Seger System there just before Smokin' OP's came out and they got famous. Thanks for your comment and that link, Tom. I got cold chills when I read "The Surf in Clear Lake". THAT place is a shrine I'd like to visit!
Heard these guys play at The Surf in Clear Lake '71 maybe '72. Still there.
