Thanks for the timely posting to kick-start my day. Mother is in her final days and I'm fast becoming a middle-aged menopausal woman. Life kinks the hookah hose again.

OK, so I clicked the "PUBLISH" button on that last comment and my phone rang. It was my sister calling to tell me Mother died. I find myself suddenly not knowing how I feel about it. With all these months spent in waiting for this moment, I can't tell you how I feel.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Don. I know your relationship with your Mother was complicated, to say the least. You be okay with being YOU and feeling YOUR feelings. Clarity is often long in coming with difficult relationships. I hope you find yours with Mother. I'm so sorry, Don.
