Humpdy Winsdump: Poetry Edition

Happy Humpday, Workin' Folk! I am currently unemployed (Cowboyin' work is hard to find when your sixty almost eight!) but I definitely ain't too good to work. No. So FAR my new, five-year plan seems to be working and things are coming together nicely. BUT .. if it comes down TO it, I might very well, actually, SEEK ... employment. Fer shure I ain't afraid of working and I daggum sure know HOW to work for someone else. The truth is I'd rather sit on my duff and contemplate finer things, though. I found a site other than archive.org for books of all manner and poetry, as well. It's called standardebooks.org
I d/l the epub version and then use Icecream to save and view them. Works GREAT and no waiting for my name to rise to the top of the 'waiting' list at the Orchard Mesa branch Library. Try borrowing Whitman's 'Leaves Of Grass' sometime, and then hit standard ebooks and see which is faster.
Whether Working or not, enjoy life ....

This was my favorite poem as a kid ...

Paula is digging and shaping the loam of a salvia,
Scarlet Chinese talker of summer.
Two petals of crabapple blossom blow fallen in Paula's hair
And fluff of white from a cottonwood
.
–Carl Sandburg
