S'been a pretty hectic week here to the Shady West Hotel in Grand Junction. Try'na get a D-I-V-O-R-C-E (cue Tammy Wynette), CLOSE on a new home (well, new to ME, anyway), AND try'na hook up with Medicare Part B (2 years after turning 65!), and register with the VA for my medicine needs - all at the same time, in a place where NO fuckin' body's every HEARD of "Ol' Bill Johnson", is a full plate for any GOT dam body, I garn'tee. Tryn'na do it all 1700+ miles from everyone who knows and can vouch for me is a bit frustrating, too. At first my feelings got hurt because I came PRE-QUALIFIED from Suntrust Bank but my mortgage guy Gary(remember Gary?:Gary Franklin has had me jumping through hoops and over hurdles to prove my past. current. and future income to prove I can pay for this house. I came PRE-QUALIFIED from SUNTRUST, with an 800+ credit score- Suntrust Bank NA.. And they got me feeling like they don't trust me and I might not be worthy of a mortgage loan, guaranteed by the VA and mortgaged through ...... Flanagan State Bank. Do you hear ME? FLANAGAN State Bank (Who the fuck is that?) has qualms about prequal written by a mortgage lender from SUNTRUST (!!) Bank, written for WAY more than I'm paying for this house(VA funding included!). You mighta HEARD of them. And at first I felt my integrity (and 800+ credit score) was being impugned. But Then, you know what? I realized .... THESE .... motherfuckers .... REALLY don't know WHO I am and y'know what else I realized? I ain't got nothin' to hide from nobody and I can BEAR their hairy-eyeball scrutiny! So, "what do you need? Jan/Feb/March/April Checking statement? okie-dokie Savings statements since January? No fucking problem! I received the certified copy of our MDA today; April's Savings Statement will be ready for d/l May 1st ........ and that's EVERYTHING required from me before closing: 11 am, May 7, at Heritage Title. My divorce will be final and signed by Judge Rogers June 10 and by July 31 I should be enrolled in MY retirement package of benefits from back to when I worked at the Sewer. I think they provide Part D free of charge(co-pays and shit) and deposit up to $1260 into a 'Health Care Account' that will pay most of my Part B costs. I still need a houseful of furniture, have NO money, and won't have any money to actually PAY for any furniture for at LEAST two months. Okay. So. At first? It won't be much of a hooch. BUT .......
In the Meantime, Climb it!.... FEARLESSLY! Who'm I try'na convince? You guys? Or Myself. Eh? heh heh heh Cuh-RAGE!
