It is a Muslim, by the name of Al-Jazari who is known as the father of robotics.
It was a Muslim who was the architect for Henry V’s castle.
It was a Muslim who invented hollow needles to suck cataracts from eyes, a technique still used today.
It was a Muslim who actually discovered inoculation, not Jenner and Pasteur to treat cowpox. The West just brought it over from Turkey
It was Muslims who contributed much to mathematics like Algebra and Trigonometry, which was imported over to Europe 300 years later to Fibonnaci and the rest.
It was Muslims who discovered that the Earth was round 500 years before Galileo did.
The list goes on………..
Just imagine a world without Muslims. Now I think you probably meant, JUST IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT TERRORISTS. And then I would agree, the world would definitely be a better place without those pieces of filth. But to hold a whole group responsible for the actions of a few is ignorant and racist. No one would ever expect Christians or White people to be held responsible for the acts of Timothy McVeigh (Oklahoma bombing) or Anders Breivik (Norway killing), or the gun man that shot Congresswoman Giffords in head, wounded 12 and killed 6 people, and rightly so because they had nothing to do with those incidents! Just like the rest of the 1.5 billion Muslims have nothing to do with this incident!
I am glad I have the luxury of not belonging to a religious, racial, or gender group in which I am expected to represent the entire group every time I do anything.

Well, except for lawyers. I've been called "one of the good ones" as regards lawyers.
I'll bet you are "one of the good ones", Harry. But I've heard a lotta jokes about Lawyers, too. I swiped that post from a Muslim guy's page, who is always posting "Oh, YEAH?!!??!!", in your face, pro Muslim content. After 9/11 I almost lost my job and DID lose "friends" over the way I defended a particularly outspoken fellow employee from Jordan because I was prepared to testify in his discrimination suit against the Sewer where we worked. The photo evokes strong anti-Muslim feelings in 'Murkans. Most Muslims are Muslim because of WHERE they were born; an accident of birth. The same 'Murkans who wonder what all the fuss is about Jamal Khashoggi's murder at MSB's direction, completely forget where Osama bin Laden and his cohorts were from and it's business as usual.

Americans are so black and white, no grey zones. We separate by good and evil. Democrats are good, Republicans are evil. Christians are good, Muslims are evil. Even our children's games are the good guys against the bad guys. Luke Skywalker against the Emperor. Roy Rogers against the cattle rustlers.

Then there is guilt by association. If you helped a black man you were a ni.... lover. If you supported an Islamic religious building near the old Twin Towers you were anti-American. It's them against us and pity those who try to be rational and show friendship to "them" because they earned the wrath of the crowd.
When I grew up my best friend (and next door neighbor) was a Jew. I was a Christian kid. From 1st grade until we graduated from High School I felt the crowd's disdain and "guilt by association" because my buddy was a Jew. Fuck the crowd.
Every race and culture that has immigrated to America has been discriminated against. It's like a fraternity hazing, or rite of passage. Seems everyone wants to feel superior to the next guy.
In the long run the melting pot will win over, but the suffering of the minority while they wait for acceptance from the majority, is outrageous.
THAT, my friend is the point of this post. I was an Army brat. We moved around the country and the world a LOT. Living in Post housing you have no say over who you live next door to. This week it's Black folk, next month? Puerto Ricans, Asians or something else. My best Christmas memory is when my Dad's friend Doc and his family spent Xmas with us in our apartment in Mannheim, Germany. They had a son named Craig who was my age. Craig was just like me in that we both collected comic books, baseball cards and were always trying to do stuff we weren't supposed to do. Oh, I knew they were a different color but me and Craig? We were the same kid. Because my parents were raised to respect people I didn't know what racism was; that is until we moved to South Carolina. That kind of racist and religious intolerance is a LEARNED trait. It isn't naturally occurring from birth. I knew in my heart that what I heard and saw happening around Columbia, SC during my formative years was wrong. From 6th grade through high school is when I learned to defend myself, both verbally and physically. The real truth is that Trashy people come in all colors and religions and like "the long run" and the "melting pot" it'll take a whole lot of dying off before equality is a reality. In the meantime more like Dylan Roof and Tamerlan Tsarnaev are being born every day to Trashy fucking parents with Trashy fucking minds.
